CPREC Nepal successfully conducted a Free Eye Screening Camp on 26 December 2025 at Panauti-10, Khopasi, Kavre, reaffirming its commitment to improving eye health and supporting better learning outcomes within local communities.
Organized under the theme “See Well, Learn Well,” the camp emphasized the crucial link between clear vision, academic performance, and overall quality of life. In many communities, limited access to basic eye care continues to affect both children and adults. This initiative aimed to address that gap by bringing essential screening services directly to the community.
“Good vision is fundamental to learning and daily life. Through this camp, we wanted to ensure that no child or community member is held back simply because of an undetected eye problem,” said a representative from CPREC Nepal.
The one-day camp served approximately 300 participants, including students, guardians, and local residents. Professional eye screenings were conducted by trained specialists, allowing participants to identify potential vision problems early and receive appropriate guidance for follow-up care and treatment.
In addition to screenings, participants were educated on the importance of eye health, preventive care, and regular eye check-ups—particularly for school-going children.
“Many parents are not aware that learning difficulties can be linked to vision problems. This program helped raise awareness and encouraged families to prioritize eye health,” shared a local teacher involved in coordinating the event.
The successful implementation of the camp was the result of effective collaboration among multiple stakeholders. CPREC Nepal expresses its heartfelt gratitude to:
Supporters and partners for their continued trust and encouragement
The dedicated technical team from Sudrishti Eye Care, whose professional expertise ensured high-quality screening services
The venue partner, along with the school administration and teachers, for their invaluable coordination and logistical support
Volunteers, whose enthusiasm and commitment ensured the smooth operation of the camp
And all participants and guardians, whose active involvement made the initiative meaningful
“The cooperation from the community, volunteers, and partners made this program both efficient and impactful. It was inspiring to see everyone working together for a common cause,” noted a member of the Sudrishti Eye Care technical team.
CPREC Nepal remains dedicated to advancing health, education, and community awareness through accessible and inclusive initiatives. The Free Eye Screening Camp at Panauti-10, Khopasi stands as a testament to what can be achieved through collective effort and shared responsibility.
“Programs like this strengthen communities by empowering people with knowledge and access to care. We look forward to expanding similar initiatives in the future,” stated a CPREC Nepal program coordinator.
With continued collaboration and support, CPREC Nepal aims to reach more communities and contribute to a healthier, more informed society—where everyone has the opportunity to see well and learn well.
