With the guiding theme “Healthy Students, Prosperous Future,” CPREC Nepal successfully conducted a one-day School Health Education Program at Shree Budhanilkantha Ma. Vi., Budhanilkantha–03, Kathmandu on 20 Ashad 2082. The program was proudly supported by Agricultural Development Bank Limited (ADBL) under its community service initiative (CSR). It aimed to promote awareness and healthy habits among school students through interactive education sessions on personal, physical, and mental health.
The key goals of the program were to:
Promote personal hygiene and cleanliness
Raise awareness about nutrition and balanced diets
Educate on puberty-related changes and menstrual health
Introduce basic mental health and stress management skills
Encourage digital safety and substance abuse prevention
Approximately 80 students from Grades 6 to 10 took part in the sessions. The students were grouped based on age for more relevant and focused interaction:
Pre-Adolescents: Grades 6–8
Adolescents: Grades 9–10
Handwashing and personal hygiene habits
Importance of balanced meals and avoiding junk food
Physical activity and its daily importance
Prevention of common illnesses
Clean environment and school hygiene
Physical and emotional changes during adolescence
Menstrual hygiene and safe practices (for girls)
Building self-esteem and managing stress
Dangers of substance abuse
Safe and responsible use of digital devices and social media
Students responded positively to the sessions, describing them as informative, practical, and enjoyable. The use of open dialogue, Q&A sessions, and real-life examples helped them understand health topics with clarity.
The school administration appreciated the efforts of CPREC Nepal and the support from ADBL, stating that the program had a meaningful impact on the students' personal awareness and would help improve their day-to-day decision-making and habits.
